Dive Into Timeless Classics with Buck Gnarly

Buck Gnarly brings together lifelong friends Phil and Pat, united by a passion for classic songs and exceptional guitar artistry, creating unforgettable musical experiences tailored for every event.

The year was 1981. Phil talked Pat into buying a bass guitar so they could start a rock band. After Pat took a couple of bass lessons, they decided that their first band would be called Ambush.

As Pat and Phil entered their senior year of high school, they added a new drummer and keyboard player to Ambush. Their band began playing at bars and ballrooms around Minnesota. Ambush played all the ’60s, ’70s, and all the new hits of the ’80s. It was a great time to be young rockers!

Pat and Phil started playing music together again more than 10 years ago.

Pat Heying

Pat was raised by a band of gypsies. As a small lad, Pat was forced to practice the autoharp for hours on end. At the age of 13, Pat jumped on a slow-moving train to live the life of a hobo. Playing guitar, singing a song, Pat is goofy!
